National Super Series Racing – Season starts at Zwartkops on Saturday 1st of March 2014

On Saturday the 1st of March will be the opening round of the Super Series National Circuit Racing fraternity with Bridgestone Production Cars, Engen Volkswagen Cup, SA Sports & V8 GT Series, Formula 1600, Formula VW and Superbikes from the Thunderbike and Brunch Run categories. |

| Bridgestone Production Cars will start the season with the best racing names and motor vehicle Manufactures in South Africa. Manufactures with Audi takes on BMW and Mini will challenge the class T Championship with Volkswagen, Chevrolet and Renault. Multiple circuit racing champions such as Johan Fourie (BMW) and Hennie Groenewald (Audi) taking on three time Production Car Champion Michael Stephen (Audi), matched against Gavin Cronje (BMW) and up an coming star Gennaro Bonafede (Audi). Class T will be headed by circuit racing Ace Lee Thompson (MINI) against the Fords of Gary Formato (Ford ST), Shaun Duminy (Ford ST) but, the pressure will come from our current champion and 6 time championship winner Greame Nathan in his Golf GTI. Some new drivers will also join the field. |
| SA Sports & V8 GT cars will be once again be headed by Ben Morgenrood (Ford Mustang), Franco di Matteo (Jaguar XKR), Willie Hepburn (Chev Corvette) and father and son pairing of Terry / Larry Wilford (Jaguar XKR) will be seen on circuit with new V8 powered machines. |

| Together with the V8 GT cars will be the Shelby Can-Am racers of Rui Campos, Brian Algar, Alan Eve, Andre Strike, Craig Shorter, and Helicopter Pilot Alister Brown. The powerful speed and light weight vehicles will run with the big V8 bodied GT Cars. |
| The Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup promises to provide great racing action with similar engine/tyres/body Polo Cup cars with 30 entries. Young aspirational drivers will seek to win on their debut race at Zwartkops; with Ferodo Racing entered driver as young Sheldon van der Linde (brother of racing champion Kelvin van der Linde and the long list of van der Linde championship winners), he will be team up with Shayur Harpal and Daniel Rowe. Shaun Le Réservée and 2013 Championship runner-up Dewald Brummer will be looking to start their year with a maiden victory. Lady driver Tasmin Pepper and Robyn Kruger will also contend to be in the winners circle… |

| The Zwartkops formula motorcycles will join the program with Thunderbikes and the Brunch Run Challenge to provide exciting motorcycle action with some 35 riders on each event. Superbikes in action with 600cc to the 1000cc motorcycles on one grid from Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Ducati, BMW, Triumph and Yamaha. See young Anthony Shelly on his debut 1000cc motorcycle from 2013 racing on the Kawasaki ZX6. Lady racer Mary Ellen Carmody (Daytona Triumph) will be hot on the heels of Ruperd Fourie (Kawasaki ZX10) and Rodney McLachlan (Kawasaki ZX10). Stalwart Brian Bontekoning and Gavin Lightfoot (Kawasaki ZX10) will show the younger generation what it is all about. |

| Tickets will be sold at the gate on the day or but online from the Zwartkops website on www.zwartkops.co.za ticket sales R80 per Adult, R60 per student, kids under 12 free. |
| Kiddies entertainment on the day and ample parking with the help of Mini Moke trains to transport spectators from the banks to the pits and back. |
