Red Square Kawasaki ZX10 Masters at Extreme Festival on 15th of November 2014.

Super excitement is building up with the last race for 2014 just a week away; every rider has his eyes on the prize. The prize being the points up for grabs, this will secure a position in the standings for the year. But one rider is sitting back and smiling, because he has already made sure that his prize cannot be taken away from him. Stewart Macleod (46), aka the Mac Attack, has already clinched 1st place in Class A for the Masters and 1st place in the Overall championship. And this is not the first year he has done it. Well done and congratulations to the Macleod team!!!

Graeme van Breda (41) is leading Kyle Robinson (18) with 35 points in the overall standings for second place, 35 points are not easy to get but as they say, it’s not over till it’s over. Kyle is a fierce rider and known for his fighting spirit, I will be watching these two with wide eyes on the 15th for sure. The same two riders are also second and third in the Class A battle for the Masters, Graeme has 286 points and Kyle has 261 points, shrinking the gap to 25 points in this epic battle. I am telling you, there is no place else to be than at Zwartkops on 15 November, nothing is more important. Who will be holding that 2nd and 3rd trophy above their heads? Graeme has experience of note and with his off road experience he is not scared of a little slip and slide here and there and will be going for it at lightning speed as always. But there is going to be lots of racing all the way down the chain….in the overall standings there is just a mere 1 point separating Tony Klem (13) and Johan le Roux (44) in sixth and seventh place. But that’s not all, only six points behind them is Raymond Keel with 112 points in his pocket; this is getting more and more exiting.
Tony will have to also watch out for Jaco Gous, as he is leading Jaco with 6 points for the fourth place in the Class A championship. Further down the pack of the Class A championship Ian Harwood (24), Appanna Ganapathy (77) and Banie van Dyk (81) will be sorting the rankings out for 8,9 and 10th place. Ian leads Appanna with a mere 4 points and Appanna leads Banie with 8 points. What an excellent achievement for 1st Overall and Class A winner for 2014! Ian and Banie, these two riders joined the Club in 2014 and what a performance to end your first year in the top 10, hieha!

The Class B riders are led by the every so slick, Pieter de Vos (17) with a lead of 31 points over Brian Bontekoning (16), aka Bonti. Unfortunately Bonti had a bad incident at the last race in Port Elizabeth and hopefully he will be able to race to defend his second place standing. In third place at the moment is Johan le Roux (44) leading Raymond Keel (33) with 14 points. Maybe Raymond can pull one out of the hat on Saturday? In 9th, 10th and 11th place of Class B, the Veteran riders Peter Clark (67) is leading Andre van Vollenstee (83) with 2 points and Rodney McLachlan (42) is just 4 point behind Andre.
It is going to be cracker of a race, be sure to not miss it! Everybody is welcome to visit the pits and take pictures on Friday 14 November and Saturday 15 November, catch all the TV broadcasts of the ZX10 Masters races on DSTV Supersport 8 on Two Wheels within a week or two of the actual races.
