| The biggest heart stopping moment was when a rear stub axle broke on the Lazarus Daytona at the end of the pit straight at full speed. Peter L was extremely lucky to come away from this accident with a severe shaking but a wrecked Daytona. |
| The disappointments of the event was Marc Lauths’ magnificent blue Lola T70mk3 Coupe which broke a gearbox and Craig Shorters’ GT40 with overheating problems. |

| These big bangers and the icon Mini Coopers were a huge spectator attraction. |
| The big red Galaxie with Sarel van der Merwe behind the wheel was simply magnificent. It was however slowed by a slipping clutch which took a second or two off the ‘big reds’ lap times, but the large crowd cheered the show on. |

Up front it was the orange Mustang of Franco Scribante challenged by the Keith Hinckleys’ Fairlane driven by Larry Wilford until he went wide when attempting to pass Franco which gave second to Jono du Toit in the Nova, behind Sarel and closing was Mark du Toit and strongly challenged by Jacques Mouton in the Silver Hawk. |

| Colin Ritchie one of the few ‘LITTLE Giants’ who ventured to the Cape, really impressed the local establishment with a beautifully prepared Mini Cooper. Colin Ritchie won the ‘U2’ category. |
