New rules will bring the top class Legends of the 9 Hour back into line

| In 2014 the ZA class of the Legends (Pre-1966) will compete under a different set of rules which should narrow the performance differentials. The cut off (fastest time for the front runners will be set at 1 minute and 14 seconds). |

| The restrictions are to be applied so that “it is the same for everybody” will be power to weight ratio, restrictor plates and set compound tyres which will have a three race cycle. |

The new rules should ensure that the older cars like the Bel-Air (Black Widow) stand a chance of taking on the Chev Nova and the Mustangs. It may also play into the hands of the more nimble and lighter Alfa GT’s challenging muscle power. |
