On Saturday 31st January a D-Type Jaguar similar to one that Mike Hawthorn won the 1955 Le Mans 24 hour race will be a on track car to celebrate the winners.

This is a significant picture as these two personalities played a major role in building the profile of South Africa Motorsport in our Golden Age. John Love by coming second in the 1967 South African Grand Prix in an outdated car and also six times F1 national champion and then David Piper five times winner of the Nine Hours at Kyalami.
