Still Advantage Hurley as VWs Face Kyalami Challenge

| The Comsol Volkswagen Challenge heads for Kyalami for the fourth round of the 2014 championship on 24th May 2014. With nearly 40 cars on the grid, spectators at the historic Midrand venue will be entertained by two action packed races. |
| James Hurley (The Starter Pack Company Polo) has yet to be beaten this year and heads the overall and Class A championship tables. He has an eight point lead in the overall title chase over Class B leader Darren Nathan (Sex Trader Polo) with Elke van Vledder in her Class C Golf a further 13 points back. |

The fight for third in the overall log is a closely contested affair. Waldie Meintjies (Performance Masters / Marty’s Body & Spray Polo) is just two points behind van Vledder while Lyle Ramsay is just another two points back in his unsponsored Class B Polo.

| Two second places at Phakisa last time out has allowed former karter Rory Atkinson (Comsol Polo) to narrow the gap to Meintjies in the class A championship. He is now only six points adrift of second place. Behind him Etienne Prinsloo (Sasfin Polo) and Iain Stevenson (Comsol Polo) are separated by just one point in the battle for fourth place. |
| Ramsay won class B in the second race in Welkom but was excluded after a ride height infringement was revealed in the post-race check. This allowed Nathan to extend his lead at the top of the log with Henry van Vledder (Golf) narrowing the gap to third. Gerhard Henning (Toyota Replacement Parts Polo), Deon Holiday (Snap On SA Polo) and Ryan Tholet (Prend Properties Polo) round out the top six in the class B field. |

| Going into the Welkom round Francois van Zyl (Jesus Saves Citi Golf) led the class C championship but a very disappointing day saw him add just one point to his tally which dropped him down to second. He is now 14 points behind Elke van Vledder and eight ahead of Zander Roos in the Nathan’s Motorsport Polo. |
| Behind the leading trio Jannie van Rooyen is the best of the rest in fourth place, just one point ahead of Jakes Jacobs and three ahead of Adrian Dalton. |
| With a maximum of 23 points on offer in each class on the day it is likely that the logs will look completely different on Saturday evening. |
| Qualifying is scheduled to start at 10h05 on Saturday morning with the first of the two eight-lap races getting underway at 13h15. The second race will round out the day’s on-track activity at 16h50. |
