LAST TITLE HOLDER. Hennie Groenewald won SA’s very last Production Car race at Zwartkops on Saturday, to become the country’s very last Production Car champion
Most of the season’s championships were concluded during a marathon series of races.
The most important title went to Hennie Groenewald, who clinched the overall National Production Car championship in his Sasol Audi S4. Groenewald was followed in the title chase by Michael Stephen (Engen Xtreme Audi S4). Groenewald won the opening race and Stephen the second.
Then, in the final, Groenewald took a narrow victory to write the country’s final Production Car Championship title behind his name.
