The weekend’s Passion for Speed event at Zwartkops will be concluded with a wide selection of historic and modern motorcycle racing on the Sunday.

The Historic Motorcycle Group will bring more than 60 bikes to the party, scheduled to perform a number of demonstration runs around the circuit.

Standing out should be David Barson (Greeves Oulton), Mike Cox (Ducati 864GT), Terry Barson (Norton Manx), Dion de Beer (Royal Enfield), Tommy Schoeman (BSA Rocket), Derek Lockwood (Norton Commando) and Len Phelps (Triumph Bonneville).

Two races for Isle of Man TT Classic bikes will see entries like Brian Ellard (Yamaha FZ), Gordon Grigor (Suzuki Wes Cooley), Ian Simpson (Suzuki XR 69), Graeme van Breda (Suzuki GSXR), Jason Joshua (Suzuki Katana), Carl Tiffany (Honda CBR 400) and Gary Edwards (Suzuki Katana) on the grid.

Two races for Red Square Kawasaki ZX10 Masters will pitch current champion Sven Grune (ZX10R) against people like Graeme van Breda (ZX10R), Teddy Brooke (ZX10R), Sanjiv Singh (ZX10R) and Jaco Gous ZX10R).

There will also be races for Bridgestone Challenge, Bridgestone Thunderbikes and Bridgestone Sub-10 Superbikes.

With entrants such as Gavin Upton (Turn-Skill Engineering Yamaha R1), Chris du Plessis (MASC Yamaha R1) and Shaun Vermaak (Fourways Motorcycles/ Handson Properties Kawasaki ZX10R) in the Thunderbikes race the pace is expected to be the fastest on the day.
Not to be outdone will see competitors such as Gareth Jackson (Mantech Racing Kawasaki ZX10R), Vincent Green (Moco Transport Kawasaki ZX10R), Frikkie Marais (BMW R1200S) and Mark Myburgh (Honda CBR) dual for top honours in the Bridgestone Challenge.
The Bridgestone Sub10 Superbikes will have Clifford Ogle (WHC Racing Ducati Panigale), Henk Schuiling (Air Systems Kawasaki ZX10R) and Eric Cook (Crusader Graphics & Signs/ Brunational/ Mics Barber Shop Kawasaki ZX10R) do battle.

The Zwartkops gates will be open from 8am on Friday and 6am Saturday and Sunday.
Food and drink will be on sale or you can take your own.
All spectators are welcome to visit the pits on foot at any time, and the circuit’s Mini Moke taxi trains will run between the pit gate and the various spectator areas throughout all three days.
The pits will have a kiddies’ corner, live entertainment and vendor stalls.
Weekend tickets to Zwartkops will cost R200 per adult and R130 per student.
Presold tickets from Computicket or the Zwartkops office will cost R180 per adult and R110 per student.
Tickets for Friday or Sunday only will come to R100 per adult and R80 per student.
Tickets bought at the gate on Saturday will cost R200 per adult and R130 per student.
On all the days, children under the age of 12 will go in for free.
